Welcome to the Mandwala Samaj App ("App"). This App is owned and managed by the Mandwala Samaj Community ("We", "Us", or "Our"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our community members. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it to build our digital family directory and tree.

2. Information We Collect

To provide a functional community directory and genealogical lineage mapping, we collect the following types of information:

• Personal Information: Full name, date of birth, gender, marital status, and profile photograph.
• Contact Information: Mobile number (used as the secure Login ID), secondary mobile number, email address, and residential address.
• Lineage & Family Details: Father's name, mother's name, spouse name, children, Gotra, and ancestral village details.
• Professional Details (Optional): Occupation, business name, and work address.
• Device Information: Unique device identifiers (UIDs), token information for push notifications, and device models to ensure data security and performance.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following core purposes:

• To construct and display the visual Family Tree and family relations.
• To populate the searchable Member Directory, helping members locate and connect with relatives.
• To verify community membership and secure account access via mobile OTP.
• To send community notifications, obituary notices, announcements, and news updates.
• To optimize and secure app functionality, preventing unauthorized access.

4. Data Visibility & Sharing

Because the main purpose of this App is to act as a community directory, your data visibility is strictly regulated:

• Community Directory Visibility: Your name, photo, phone number, and lineage details are visible only to verified and registered members of the Mandwala Samaj who log in securely.
• No Commercial Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or rent members' personal identification details to third-party advertisers, commercial entities, or outer organizations.
• Administrative Control: App administrators have access to view, update, and manage records to ensure genealogical accuracy and moderate content.

5. Data Regarding Minors

Due to the genealogical focus of the App, the system contains records of children (minors). Such data must only be inputted by parents, legal guardians, or authorized heads of households. By adding a minor, the parent/guardian consents to displaying the child's name and relationship in the family directory.

6. Data Deletion & Modification (Right to Erasure)

Members have complete control over their presence in the directory:

• You can edit your personal profile information directly within the App.
• You can request complete deletion of your account and personal data from our systems at any time.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security and cloud database encryption (Firebase Firestore & Firebase Storage) to safeguard your data. While we implement rigorous controls, no digital storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
